Case Study
Heating and cooling processes are abundant in engineering practice. From micro-electronic devices to large-scale industrial reactors, fluid flow simulations have become a standard tool as they cut down both development time and cost. The QuickerSim CFD Toolbox for MATLAB goes a step further and lets you integrate the CFD and heat transfer simulations into the whole MATLAB workflow. Connect the solver to the pre- and post-processors as well as to custom tools that you've created and speed up your process even more.
The QuickerSim CFD Toolbox for MATLAB was used for predicting blood flow in the carotid bifurcation. The knowledge of level of sheer stresses at the arterial walls is necessary to predicting the aneurysm. A transient laminar flow simulation is necessary in such a case. To maximize efficiency, blood can be modeled as a Newtonian fluid. If more detailed insight into flow physics is desired, more complex rheological models for blood viscosity can be implemented.
Versions
Our product is offered in four distinct versions. The LITE version is available for free for everyone and can be upgraded to the PRO version that comes with all the features. The toolbox can be also used as a basis for dedicated apps that would work outside MATLAB (DEV or CUSTOM).
